Our Hood

Life in the desert can be hard for some but urbndervish and I cherish the patches of green in a small village behind our apartment building.  We live near a falaaj which is an engineered water course used for agricultural purposes.  It’s a nice little oasis for us when we take our evening strolls to enjoy the cool breeze from the palm trees, to hear the running water coursing through the channels, and to see little fish and frogs making their way through.  The mornings are quite lovely as well, with colorful birds and dragonflies flying about.  If you’re having a “dry” day, take a break and join us in the falaaj, even if only for a moment.
